The
Quarry
The Kilmore East quarry is a state of the art facility, with a substantial deposit of very high quality basalt.
This material is specifically earmarked for high strength concrete, sealing aggregate, asphaltic concrete, road base material and any other application which calls for high strength, high quality materials.
Galli Quarries operates a fleet of modern truck and trailer combinations
including Quad-Dog and Semi-trailers, which are frequently seen on the
Hume Highway and Western Ring road as they deliver materials to major
concrete and asphalt producers.
The quality of Galli Quarries material has been recognised on significant
construction projects in recent times, Grocon, the builder of Melbourne's
Rialto building, MCG redevelopment and the QV apartments chose Galli
Quarries to supply aggregates for the manufacture of high strength concrete
for the construction of Melbourne's tallest building, "Eureka"
at Southbank.
The strength and shape of Galli Quarries' aggregates have allowed Grocon
to produce concrete strengths in excess of 100mpa.
